- The story is cute but I am not sure about teaching my kid negotiation, strike and civil disobedience skills.
- I am a first grade teacher and was able to use this book in many different ways. The students understood that cows can not type and actually understood the humor. I used the letters in the story to show how to write a letter and ask for something. With older students there is the theme of bartering and scarcity. I found MANY great ideas as an educator for the use of this book. It is great!
- I bought this as a gag gift for my little sister that was turning 14. I ended up keeping the gift for myself. There isn't much educational value as far as the book is concerned, but it's definitely something that you can read in less than five minutes, but will have you thinking about it for days. I still occasionally laugh when the book comes to mind. Highly recommended.
- This book is fun to read for my son and I. We giggle along as the cows type away. I'd recommend for any child.
- "Cows that type, hens on strike? Impossible!" Well, not for Farmer Brown. And what makes matters worse, they're handing out demands. Electric Blankets. The cows and chickens want electric blankets because, you know, the barn is cold at night.

>This hilarious tale is a "battle of the wits" between unsuspecting Farmer Brown, and his livestock. As usual, Doreen Cronin delivers in originality, creativity and sheer fun, in this story about a group of animals, who just want to be, um...herd. <
